Sunny Thoughts (S1802)- February Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Close To My Heart Sunny Thoughts- February Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Maz Wood's aMAZing Close To My Heart Creations, then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today, I would like to share with you a few card projects that I have created featuring the February Stamp of the Month, Sunny Thoughts. This stamp set, which is featured in our NEW Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book, is available only in February 2018 for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.

Sunny Thoughts is a completely adorable stamp set that is perfect for creating birthday and thank you cards, inspirational cards and tags; special gifts for your loved-ones and fun, sunny scrapbook layouts.  The stamp set features cute floral images and sensational sentiments. It includes 13 stamps that fit My Acrylix® blocks in sizes 1" × 1" (Y1000), 2" × 2" (Y1003), 1" × 6½" (Y1005), 3" × 3" (Y1006) and 2" × 6½" (Y1010).  Note that the stamp image outlined in blue coordinate with the Basic Circle Thin Cuts (Z3318), which is sold separately.

My first project is a thank you card which also features stamps from the Chelsea Gardens- Scrapbooking stamp set (D1760), paper from the Make Waves Paper Packet (Xy227D) and the super vibrant and shimmery Make Waves Shimmer Trim (Z4146). I created the variegated colour effect on the flowers and leaves by using the Rock 'n' Roll stamping technique and created a subtle two-tone effect on the stamped sentiment using Pewter and Charcoal Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads.

My next two projects are matchy-matchy. They are both created using a pattern from our new how-to pattern book, Make it From Your Heart, Volume 4. The pattern I've used is one of the 24 card patterns included to help you create beautiful cards for any occasion! It includes cutting guides, assembly instructions and sample cards to get your creative juices flowing. This pattern was perfect for creating a card using the longer birthday sentiment featured on the Sunny Thoughts stamp set and shows off the gorgeous papers from the new Chelsea Gardens and Stargazer Paper Packets perfectly.

The next two cards are actually card designs from the optional card projects featured in the Workshops Your Way Gimme Some Sugar Scrapbooking Kit. I have changed them from the original designs by flipping the papers over and by changing the card orientation (card 2), but the layouts are the same. Instead of using the Gimme Some Sugar- cardmaking stamp set (which is super-cute by the way), I substituted sentiments from the Sunny Thoughts stamp set.  I love the way these gorgeous designs are so versatile and easy to change to suit any occasion and stamp set!

Thank you so much for visiting my Blog today to check out my card projects featuring Sunny Thoughts- February Stamp of the Month. Honestly, this stamp set has just been so much fun to create with and I can't wait to make even more projects! I would love it if you would leave a comment below before you hop to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop, Nell Ward's Nelliebligh blog.

Remember, the February Stamp of the Month, Sunny Thoughts is only available throughout February 2018 from your Close To My Heart Independent Consultant for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.

Lovely cards Denise. It always amazes me how different a design can look when you change the papers. I think the Stargazer one is my favourite today.

Great cards, it's so nice to see that there are so many options with one design when you change the papers and embellishments.

Beautiful cards, Denise. I love the colours in your flowers on the first card. And I agree with Shaunna - the same card with different papers and/or sentiments can look so different! Thanks for sharing.

Oh just love all your creations - the thank you card looks amazing. I haven't actually played with that stamp set yet - so you have inspired me to use it over the weekend. I love how you showed that different papers & the same design can change the card.Love the work.
