Today, I would like to share with you a few projects that I have created featuring the February Stamp of the Month, Easter Bunny. This stamp set, which is featured in our NEW Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book, is available only in February 2017 for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.
Easter Bunny is a completely "adorable", Easter-themed stamp set that is perfect for creating Easter cards, spring and friendship-inspired cards and tags; special gifts for your loved-ones and whimsical scrapbook layouts. The stamp set features cute bunny images that can be coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers, Watercolour Paints or Watercolour Pencils.
My first project is a sweet, simple card based on the card design on page 58 of the Seasonal Expressions Idea Book (January-April 2017). The soft watercolour pencils worked so well for shading the background and colouring the cute bunny and Easter basket. The Hello Lovely B&T (Background and Texture) paper suits this card design so beautifully and the zip strip from the top of the paper creates a simple yet effective trim.
I cut the circle from the new Basic Circles Thin Cuts which continue to come in very handy on card designs and page layouts. I stamped the "Happy Easter" sentiment in Fern ink and finished the card with Gold Glitter Gems from the Hello Lovely creative collection. I just love how cute this card turned out and I can't wait to teach it at my upcoming February Creative Cardmaking Workshop.
Ingredients for creating the Happy Easter Card:
(You can find all of these products in my online shop)
- Easter Bunny, February 2017 Stamp of the Month
- 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack
- 5 1/2" x 2" Hello Lovely B&T Paper
- 5 1/2" zip strip from Hello Lovely B&T Paper
- 3" x 3" White Daisy Cardstock (for cutting circle)
- 2.5" x 2" White Daisy Cardstock (for stamping bunny and basket)
- Black Memento Ink Pad
- Fern Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad
- CTMH Watercolour Pencils
- Basic Circles Thin Cuts
- Thin 3-D Foam Tape
- 3-D Foam Tape
- 3L® E-Z Dots® Adhesive
- Gold Glitter Gems
- Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors
The bunnies are coloured with CTMH Watercolour Pencils for a softer look. Layering Vellum on top of the Fern and Sorbet Cardstock under the "There's nobody like you" sentiment gives the cardstock a muted, softer look also.
Of course I had to create a companion page for this adorable layout. I used basically the same layout with the addition of a mat for a 5" x 7" photo and fun journalling strips. I can't wait to use these pages for some of our fun family photos this Easter.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I wanted my final project to have a fun "bunny-love" theme. I teamed the February Stamp of the Month with Hello Lovely B&T papers once again. This card also features the heart balloons from the True Love Operation Smile stamp set and the cute banner and "You're the Sweetest" sentiment from the Sugar Rush Cardmaking Thin Cuts Bundle.
I used my ShinHan Touch Twin Markers to colour the heart balloons and the adorable flower border behind the bunnies, but I used my CTMH Watercolour Pencils to shade the background and colour the bunnies. I added a splash of shimmer with Gold Glitter Paper behind the sentiment and Gold Glitter Gems to embellish the card.
