February means Happy!

A Happy Hello! Today, I wanted to share this gorgeous card with you. It's inspired by a design from one of my Crafty Hearts team members, Julie and features the February Stamp of the Month, A Happy Hello.  Julie shared her card at our recent Crafty Hearts' Team Playday and I decided to play with her design a little to create my own! Don't you just love it!

I adore the layered look of the flowers and the little strips of Green Glitter Paper used to frame the design. On this card I have used Hollyhock Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Hollyhock, Pixie, Canary and Cocoa Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads and 3D Foam Tape to create the layered flowers.

If you'd like to check out other designs using A Happy Hello, visit my February Stamp of the Month Pinterest Board as I have pinned lots of ideas for you here!

Here are a couple more gorgeous cards I thought you might enjoy.  These are designed by the very talented members of the art team at Close To My Heart using the February Stamp of the Month.  Don't you agree that the colours featured are just perfect with this stamp set! LOVE! There really are so many different ways to use the icons and sentiment in this stamp set!  What will you create?

The February Stamp of the Month, A Happy Hello really is a beautiful stamp set that can be used in so many creative ways on cards and on pages to add a touch of happiness!  The stamp set is available only in February 2015 for $27, or for just $5 when you spend $75.

Don't forget that the amazing Album Allure offer ends on 28 February 2015. This month only when you purchase one of our trendy canvas Post-Bound or D-Ring albums for full price, you can choose another canvas album for half price! That's a saving of $22.50!  Visit my website Scrap Stamp Share to find out more!

A Happy Hello- CTMH February Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our CTMH February 2015 Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Jenny's Blog The Creative Heart, then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post

Today I would like to share with you a quick card project which features the February Stamp of the Month 'A Happy Hello' which is available only in February 2015 for $27, or for just $5 when you spend $75. This stamp set is the latest of 12 glorious, exclusive Stamp of the Month stamp sets featured in our CTMH 2014- 2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book!

The card I have created combines the February Stamp of the Month, A Happy Hello, with my favourite new stamp set from the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book, Brushstrokes.  I just love how quickly and easily you can create a bright, colourful canvas with the stamps in the Brushstrokes stamp set on which to highlight stamped images and sentiments.

Here, I chose to stamp a colourful rainbow backdrop on which to feature the simple branch image from the Stamp of the Month (stamped in Cocoa).  Stamped straight onto White Daisy Cardstock and matted on Lagoon Cardstock, I hope I have achieved a clean, simple design that is still fun and bright.

I love the addition of the Epoxy Bubbles to this card design.  I stuck clear bubbles onto the end of the each of the branches and then coloured them with the fine tip of the Cherry Pink ShinHan Touch Twin Marker.  I just love that we can use our markers to change the colour of embellishments such as these bubbles, as well as our Clear Sparkles, Silver Sequins,  White Enamel Stars and even our White Shimmer Trim!

I stamped the "A Happy Hello" sentiment in Cocoa and then mounted it onto Pacifica Cardstock after dovetailing the ends of both pieces of Cardstock.  (P.S. Watch this short video if you want to get a flawless dovetail every time!)

I then used Thin 3-D Foam Tape and 3-D Foam Tape to adhere the matted stamped images to the card base (because I love layers on my cards) and finished the card off with three silver Triangle Studs adhered just under the sentiment.

The finished card fits in a standard business size envelope and measures 4" x 8 1/4" (when folded).

I used the following ingredients to create this simple card project:

February Stamp of the Month, A Happy Hello

8" x 8 1/4" White Daisy Cardstock (fold at 4" to create the card base)
3 3/16" x 6 1/2" Lagoon Cardstock (for matting stamped image)

3 1/2" x 1" White Daisy Cardstock (for stamping "A Happy Hello" sentiment)
3 3/4" x 1 1/4" Pacifica Cardstock (for matting stamped sentiment)
