A Happy Hello- CTMH February Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our CTMH February 2015 Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Jenny's Blog The Creative Heart, then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post

Today I would like to share with you a quick card project which features the February Stamp of the Month 'A Happy Hello' which is available only in February 2015 for $27, or for just $5 when you spend $75. This stamp set is the latest of 12 glorious, exclusive Stamp of the Month stamp sets featured in our CTMH 2014- 2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book!

The card I have created combines the February Stamp of the Month, A Happy Hello, with my favourite new stamp set from the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book, Brushstrokes.  I just love how quickly and easily you can create a bright, colourful canvas with the stamps in the Brushstrokes stamp set on which to highlight stamped images and sentiments.

Here, I chose to stamp a colourful rainbow backdrop on which to feature the simple branch image from the Stamp of the Month (stamped in Cocoa).  Stamped straight onto White Daisy Cardstock and matted on Lagoon Cardstock, I hope I have achieved a clean, simple design that is still fun and bright.

I love the addition of the Epoxy Bubbles to this card design.  I stuck clear bubbles onto the end of the each of the branches and then coloured them with the fine tip of the Cherry Pink ShinHan Touch Twin Marker.  I just love that we can use our markers to change the colour of embellishments such as these bubbles, as well as our Clear Sparkles, Silver Sequins,  White Enamel Stars and even our White Shimmer Trim!

I stamped the "A Happy Hello" sentiment in Cocoa and then mounted it onto Pacifica Cardstock after dovetailing the ends of both pieces of Cardstock.  (P.S. Watch this short video if you want to get a flawless dovetail every time!)

I then used Thin 3-D Foam Tape and 3-D Foam Tape to adhere the matted stamped images to the card base (because I love layers on my cards) and finished the card off with three silver Triangle Studs adhered just under the sentiment.

The finished card fits in a standard business size envelope and measures 4" x 8 1/4" (when folded).

I used the following ingredients to create this simple card project:

February Stamp of the Month, A Happy Hello
Brushstrokes stamp set
8" x 8 1/4" White Daisy Cardstock (fold at 4" to create the card base)
3 3/16" x 6 1/2" Lagoon Cardstock (for matting stamped image)

3 1/2" x 1" White Daisy Cardstock (for stamping "A Happy Hello" sentiment)
