Celebrate with Cake- May SotM Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Close To My Heart May 2016 Celebrate with Cake Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Maz Wood's Inky Fingers, you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today, I would like to share with you a few projects that I have created featuring the May Stamp of the Month, Celebrate with CakeThis stamp set is available only in May 2016 for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.

Isn't this the most fun stamp set ever? I just love how you can create the cake of your dreams by adding the cake stand and layers that you love! This stamp set shouts "birthday, wedding, engagement, high tea, and more"- it's time to PARTY!!

Below you can see a page layout I have created featuring Kaleidoscope B&T Paper, coordinating cardstock a couple of Cricut-cut flowers and Silver Sequins.  I have stamped the cake and sentiments in Memento Black Ink and painted them using CTMH Watercolour Paints.

Here is a close up of the cake- you can see that the bright paint colours complement the fun of the Kaleidoscope papers beautifully!  I've used 3-D Foam Tape to raise up the image and make a feature of it on the layout.

I absolutely love this card (below) that I created with Zoe B&T Paper and the Celebrate with Cake stamp set! It's so bright and fun!  I stamped a selection of the cake layers, cake stand and sentiment onto coloured cardstock and cut around the outside of each image. This is a quick and easy way to add bold colours to the stamped images without having to colour them in.  I added extra colour to some of the pieces using my ShinHan Touch Twin Markers and added Liquid Glass to create fun "icing" on the Thistle layer and Bitty Sparkles to add some bling-worthy sparkle to the Pixie Layer.  I used 3-D and Thin 3-D Foam Tape to adhere the cake layers to the front of the card.

I love using Liquid Glass to add fun dimensions to my cards and pages. I think it worked perfectly for this cool drippy icing effect on the cake!

Finally, one of my very special friends was married last weekend and I wanted to create a simple, elegant card to give to her and her new hubby, so I created this card using basic colours Slate and Black, added a few Bitty Sparkles for some bling.  I was very happy with the understated look of the finished card.

Thank you for visiting my Blog to check out my page layout and cards featuring the May Stamp of the Month, Celebrate with Cake.  I would love it if you could leave a comment below before you hop to the next stop on our Australasian Blog HopShaunna Richards' Passionate About Pages.

Remember, the May Stamp of the Month, Celebrate with Cake is only available throughout May 2016 from your Close To My Heart Independent Consultant for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.

I love multicoloured cake!! Lots of my friends have made multi-coloured cakes for their kids birthdays so this would be perfect for that! Also love the liquid glass as the icing! Good enough to eat!
